Leaving, for now.

A few weeks ago I turned my license back into the division. There are a variety of reasons.

First, homes aren't selling well. It isn't a secret or something real estate agents should deny. They just aren't. I was having a really hard time watching seasoned realtors up and leave the business because the money had come to a complete halt.

Second, my husband has received a promotion within his company. While this sounds great (and it is!), he will be traveling even more. When he told me that he would be visiting other offices on a more regular basis, I was a bit shocked. He travels a ton as it is! With our daughter attending a school that is a solid 30 minute drive from our house, it has been tough with both of us working, school, etc.

And Last, I got in this business because of our rental business. I wanted that to flourish. It has. I have so many contacts now, more houses, more tenants, etc. My life is full.

Turning your license in does not mean it is no longer good in Ohio. I am able to pull it out at any time. I just have to keep up with my continuing education requirements (which I intend to do).

So goodbye for now! I am sure this is not the end of "me" in real estate. :)
